How to Speed Up a Slow Computer

Quick Fixes (Try These First)

Disable Startup Programs

Many programs start automatically and slow down boot time:

1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
2. Click the Startup tab
3. Right-click programs you dont need and select Disable

Delete Temporary Files

1. Press Windows + R
2. Type temp and press Enter
3. Select all files (Ctrl+A) and delete them
4. Repeat with %temp%

Check for Viruses

Malware can severely slow your computer. Run a full scan with Windows Security or your antivirus program.
