These terms govern your use of That Computer Dude's services. By using our services, you agree to these terms.
Services Provided
That Computer Dude provides computer repair, IT support, virus removal, data recovery, network setup, hardware upgrades, and related technology services for residential and commercial clients in the Cassville, MO area, Barry County, and Northwest Arkansas.
Service Rates
- Diagnosis: Always FREE - no exceptions
- House Calls: $150 per hour
- Shop Visits: $100 per hour (you bring the device to us)
- Flat Rates: Many common repairs have flat-rate pricing, quoted upfront
All pricing is provided before work begins. You will never be charged without agreeing to the quoted price first.
Zero-Risk Guarantee
If we cannot fix your issue, you pay nothing. This includes the diagnostic fee. We provide a full explanation of the problem and your options regardless of whether a repair is possible.
Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion of service
- We accept cash, check, and major credit cards
- For larger projects, payment plans may be available upon request
Device Intake & Authorization
By leaving your device with us for service:
- You authorize us to access your device to diagnose and repair the reported issues
- You confirm you are the owner or authorized representative of the device
- You understand that while we take every precaution, data loss can occur during repairs
- We recommend backing up your data before service when possible
Data Privacy & Confidentiality
- We access only the data necessary to complete the requested service
- We do not copy, share, or retain your personal files
- NDAs are available for business clients upon request
- Our technician holds an MA in Cybersecurity and follows professional standards
Warranties & Guarantees
- Labor: 30-day warranty on labor for completed repairs
- Parts: Manufacturer warranty applies to any parts installed
- Software: No warranty on software issues that recur due to user actions (e.g., downloading malware again)
Warranty does not cover physical damage, liquid damage, or issues unrelated to the original repair.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- We are not responsible for data loss - always maintain backups
- We are not liable for pre-existing hardware failures discovered during service
Abandoned Devices
Devices left for more than 90 days after notification of completed service or inability to repair may be considered abandoned. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you before disposing of abandoned equipment.

Service Area
We provide on-site service throughout Barry County, MO, Northwest Arkansas, and surrounding areas. Travel fees may apply for locations outside our standard service area.
Scheduling & Cancellation
- Appointments can be scheduled by phone, text, or through our contact form
- Please provide 24 hours notice for cancellations when possible
- Emergency and same-day service is available based on availability
Dispute Resolution
We strive to resolve any issues directly. If you have a concern about our service, please contact us immediately so we can make it right. Any disputes will be governed by the laws of the State of Missouri.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of current terms.
