BIOS
Basic Input/Output System - firmware that initializes hardware during startup before the operating system loads.
Bandwidth
The maximum rate of data transfer across a network or internet connection, measured in bits per second.

C

CPU (Central Processing Unit)
The primary processor that executes instructions and performs calculations. The brain of the computer.
Cache
High-speed memory that stores frequently accessed data for faster retrieval.

GPU (Graphics Processing Unit)
A specialized processor designed for rendering graphics, also used for AI and parallel computing.

M

Motherboard
The main circuit board containing the CPU, memory slots, and connectors for other components.
Malware
Malicious software designed to damage, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to computer systems.

R

RAM (Random Access Memory)
Volatile memory that temporarily stores data being actively used by the CPU for fast access.
Router
A networking device that forwards data packets between computer networks.

S

SSD (Solid State Drive)
A storage device using flash memory, faster and more reliable than traditional hard drives.

V

VPN (Virtual Private Network)
A service that encrypts your internet connection and masks your IP address for privacy and security.
